Joan and Dennis were quiet philanthropists. They donated to nearly 200 individuals, charities and causes, which Joan continued after Dennis's passing in 2011. That, philanthropy continues through Joan’s Estate. With the creation of the, ‘Creagh Mobility Society’, Joan never had a driver’s license.
After Dennis’s passing in 2011 Joan loved to go for a drive with her friends. They would drive from Lantzville all around Nanaimo and the mid island area. Take a trip to Ladysmith for a treat at D/Q or, to Parksville for Chinese food.
When Joan’s mobility was restricted to a wheelchair, a Braun Mobility van was purchased. Joan’s health took an immediate improvement. She continued to look forward to her many trips.
The Creagh Mobility Society was created for those individuals who may not have a driver’s license or would prefer not driving but, being chauffeured.
Whether a member of the society requires groceries, a doctor’s appointment or just needs to get out of the house, the Creagh Mobility Society is there with a helping vehicle to get you where you need to go.
